Bécassine is a famous comic strip character that originated in western France, created by the author Jacqueline Rivière and illustrator Emile Pinchon in 1905.

Bécassine was a treasured part of all my primary classes for over thirty years. I just couldn’t imagine my life without Bécassine. Created at about the same time as our house was built in 1903, it just seemed natural that her character should have a dedicated room.

The Bécassine room is in the barn in front the house.

This spacious room can sleep up to 3 people and has:

  • a large double bed
  • a single bed
  • a private bathroom that open directly onto the bedroom
  • one television
  • a hair dryer

The room has a separate entrance door with its own private parking space.
